A New Month, A Renewed Hope

The morning began with quiet intention a walk to clear my mind, breathe in the fresh air, and ground myself in clarity. There’s something about those early steps that create space for reflection. With the month drawing to a close, today felt like the right time to take stock, not just of my own journey, but of those walking alongside me.

In recent weeks, I’ve connected with so many former colleagues who were affected by the retrenchment. Some have found their way into new roles, ones they deserve, and ones that recognize their value. But many others, despite tireless effort, haven’t even been offered a formal interview. And it’s not from a lack of trying.

It’s disheartening, and for many, it’s been a season of stalled momentum. Yet, as we turn the page to a new month, my hope remains strong, that traction will come, that opportunities will begin to surface, and that we’ll finally be seen for the value we bring.

Some may call that optimism naive. But I’d rather lean into possibility than dwell in defeat. Staying focused on what’s in my control, my mindset, my energy, my willingness to grow, that’s how I choose to show up.

To anyone walking through this uncertain terrain, I want to say, explore your edges. Diversify. Stimulate your mind through learning, skill-building, creativity, and collaboration. Whether you're refining your craft, picking up a new hobby, or partnering with someone to bring an idea to life, there’s power in movement. There's growth even here. Especially here.

We are not stagnant. We are still growing. Still becoming.
