This morning was nothing short of soul-nourishing. A crisp winter sunrise, a 7am breakfast meetup, and friends who’ve journeyed with me through some of the most defining moments of my career, former colleagues turned true companions. It’s rare to find connections that linger long after the job titles fade, and this morning reminded me just how much I’ve missed them.
To be honest, I was humbled that everyone made the effort, especially before work, in winter! It’s not just the early hour that moved me, but the heart behind it. That kind of intention, that kind of loyalty… it’s priceless.
We laughed, we joked, we reminisced, and all of it wrapped in the most perfect backdrop, the ocean shimmering in the early light, and dolphins gracefully gliding north as if to remind us that life is always in motion, always unfolding. It was one of those moments that quietly says, “You’re exactly where you’re meant to be.”
My heart is so full.
Despite the impressive resumes and professional milestones between us, today wasn’t about status, it was about people. The kind of people who make life richer, who challenge you, inspire you, and make you belly-laugh over coffee. These are the connections that don’t just last, they evolve. Like fine wine, they deepen with time.
This morning made me reflect deeply, I want to build a life rooted in meaningful relationships, not just impressive achievements. I want to be remembered not for the balance in my bank account, but for the impact of my presence. I want to nurture connections, leave people better than I found them, and live a life that breathes purpose, kindness, and joy.
Because at the end of the day, life is far too short to chase things that can’t hug you back.
