The day started early, but with the chill in the air and the clouds hinting at rain, I chose not to tempt a cold. Instead, I listened to what my body was asking for, rest, recovery, and gentleness. I spent the day at home, keeping warm, focusing on my coursework and practicals. I took it all at my own pace, learning where I could, pausing often to simply rest and let my body catch up with me.
Dinner was light and nourishing, a simple vegetable meal as I was fasting. I wasn’t feeling a hundred percent, so instead of pushing myself to attend temple, I allowed myself to rest in. Healing sometimes requires saying no to even the things we love most.
Later, I shared dinner with a loved one before turning in early for the night. These moments, quiet, simple, restorative, carry so much weight in my heart. They remind me that healing is not only about medicine and rest, but also about love, nourishment, and presence.
Grateful for the space to replenish, to let go of the rush, and to lean into stillness. Healing days are just as important as the busy ones.
