Walking Through the Weight, Rising Into the Week

Sunday morning began bright and early. I laced up my shoes, packed sandwiches and brewed coffee for my cousins and uncles, and we set out for our morning walk. The air was crisp, the sky soft with promise, and the company exactly what I needed. After a heavy Saturday, where emotions felt tangled and overwhelming, this walk became a balm. Movement, conversation, and shared silence helped me release some of what I’d been carrying.

There’s something powerful about connection. Just being with people who care, who listen, who show up, it lightens the load. I’m grateful for that kind of support. It doesn’t fix everything, but it reminds me I’m not alone in the rising.

The rest of the day was quieter, but purposeful. I spent time brushing up on my skills, preparing for the week ahead. Upskilling has become a daily rhythm, an act of self-investment, a way to stay sharp and open to possibility. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.

By afternoon, I allowed myself to slow down. I rested, let my body unwind, and gave my thoughts space to settle. These quiet moments before sleep are sacred, where reflection meets release, and I gather myself for what’s next.

Today reminded me that healing and growth often happen side by side. That even after a heavy day, there’s still room to move, connect, learn, and rest.
